George: The university years
Synopsis: George heads off to the University of St. Andrews in September 1971 to study French and German language and literature. It's his first time living away from home and he has every intention of taking advantage of his new freedom. His life soon revolves around his studies but chasing the girls and playing football take priority, leading to many close encounters with the University authorities. After two years of "near things", George goes off to France to be an English Language Assistant in a school in Versailles and to widen his horizons. He comes back fluent in French and launches into his final 2 years of study, but by then he has a serious girlfriend which threatens to limit his fun. 1976 promises graduation, marriage and a job. Will he end up with any of the three?
