The explosive final book in I.V. Ophelia’s darkly addictive Poisoner trilogy – a bestselling gothic romance series about a botanist who kills unsavoury men, and the one man who's resistant to her deadly poisons while she finds herself intoxicated by his deadly charms . . .  She fears the hunger within. He fears the world without her.

Hidden away in a Manhattan mansion that's equal parts gilded cage and war room, Alina Lis is discovering she's no longer the woman she was . . . and may no longer be human at all.

But for now, she has far bigger things to worry about when her vampiric lover, Silas, prepares to face The Appraisal, an ancient trial where he'll answer for the mass murder of his father's Nest, as old rivalries and new alliances threaten to break them apart. It seems like Alina’s only hope lies with Luka, a former enemy with a knack for keeping the peace. But something is festering inside Alina, as a hunger she's never felt before threatens to boil to the surface, imperiling both friends and enemies alike. As betrayals mount, exposing chilling truths that have been brewing for years, Alina must decide what she's willing to become to save the man she loves – before the darkness within her destroys them for good.

The Cannibal delivers the gut punch that longtime fans of The Poisoner series have been waiting for, that will leave readers sated like they've received their own vampiric kiss.
