1938. The bonnie banks of the silvery Tay. North-east Scotland. A sleepy hollow seaside town. McTaggart is a happy man. Up until now, his life has been a quiet one. Amidst fears of a new bloody European conflict involving Germany, a sudden explosion of dastardly crime turns his town upside down. The local community are up in arms, demanding answers. The Inspector of police is giving it his best shot, but there are no real clues, no witnesses, few suspects. He must find some answers fast, for the stakes are high.

Author: Ken Ramsay

Ken was born in Dundee in 1957 and was brought up by Bill and Jessie Ramsay at three different addresses in the Ferry, at Queen Street, next door to the Occidental, at Forthill Road, on the corner with Nursery Road, and at Anton Drive, in the shadow of these gigantic trees. He was schooled at Forthill Primary, Grove Academy (1969-75) and Dundee University (1975-79).

Ken Ramsay was a pupil at Grove Academy from 1969-75.

Six great years!

In addition to a solid education, secondary school gave me many great classmates and it gave me my lifelong friends.

This is a photo of my class at the Grove from around 1974-75. A parcel of rogues if ever there was one. I’m the one with the long hair…and modest good looks. Ha, ha! Notice the ties all tight, for the photo, to be loosened straight after.
