Book Club 3 meeting 14/04/20

Last night six members of book club 3 met for their first virtual book club. We had a really interesting discussion about Lisa Jewell's thriller, The Family Upstairs. Many agreed somewhat honestly that, although they enjoyed reading the book themselves, the strong subject matter and themes would make them pause before passing on the book. A book with three different narrators, one perhaps deliberately made to be unreliable in his accounts of events. A page turner with twists and turns right up to the end. The scores on the virtual doors for The Family Upstairs ranged from 2.5 to 3.5 out of 5.
